LOUDER, a comprehensive retail platform founded by a young team from MTR CORPORATION, has always been committed to promoting local original brands and creative culture, and is dedicated to realizing the concept of social diversity and inclusion. Following the launch of the 'Guardian Penguin Series' cultural and creative products in collaboration with social enterprise StarUp Wonders last year, the two parties have once again joined hands to hold the 10-day Exhibition 【Dream Without Barriers, Louder Support for Inclusion】 at the LOUDER The Wai Branch from 13 to 22 June. Coinciding with Father's Day, the exhibition invites everyone to come and appreciate the creative works of young people with intellectual disabilities with their fathers, spending a warm and unique festival.
StarUp Wonders Founder Starts a Social Enterprise for His Daughter, Enabling Young Artists with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism to Develop Their Creative Talents
Andy and Jade, founders of StarUp Wonders, have a daughter, Qingqing, with intellectual disabilities. During her growth, they fully understood the challenges faced by young people with intellectual disabilities, such as lack of self-confidence, limited space to develop their talents, and misunderstandings from others. This inspired them to start the social enterprise StarUp Wonders, dedicated to assisting young people with intellectual disabilities and autism and their families by providing various opportunities to help them integrate into society and build self-confidence.
Nine Young Artists Bring Out Their Potential in Creating 《Penguin Marathon in Antarctica》 to Advocate for Environmental Conservation
The exhibition will present a large-scale painting, 《Penguin Marathon in Antarctica》, created by nine young artists from StarUp Wonders and 16 other members over several months. The painting, completed with plastic color, oil-based water pens, and collage, meticulously depicts the glaciers and penguin world in their hearts. Filled with innocence and imagination, the painting transforms their observations and love for penguins into a colorful scene through sincere brushstrokes, showcasing their unique artistic perspective and raising awareness of global warming and glacier melting. It also displays the efforts and potential of this group of young creators.
Presenting 19 Wonderful Paintings Simultaneously, Inviting the Audience to Enter the Creative World of Young Artists
In addition to the featured work 《Penguin Marathon in Antarctica》, the exhibition will also display 19 captivating paintings created by young artists from StarUp Wonders, with themes including 《Brilliant Hong Kong》, 《When Artists Meet the Garden》, and 《Abstract Painting》, among others. Each work demonstrates the artists' observations and imaginations of life through rich colors and compositions, presenting their unique perspectives on the world. Whether it's the familiar cityscape or abstract inner emotions, each piece exudes a distinct personal style.
Through these works, the audience can sense that art is not just about creation but also a means of expressing the soul and building a bridge for a more understanding and inclusive society.
